On Day 1, after all of the boys entered, the girls were asked to choose a boy to pair up with. Anna-May was paired with Haris, Tanyel with Kai, Lana and Ron paired up, Olivia and Will coupled up, and Tanya paired up with Shaq.
^Note 1: Tom arrived after the coupling on Day 1 and was told he would be able to steal a girl for himself on Day 2. He chose Olivia, leaving Will single.

On Day 1, the Islanders coupled up for the first time. After all of the boys entered, the girls were asked to choose a boy to pair up with. Anna-May was paired with Haris, Tanyel with Kai, Lana and Ron paired up, Olivia and Will coupled up, and Tanya paired up with Shaq.
On Day 2, Tom, who entered after the coupling, had to steal one girl for himself. He chose Olivia, thus leaving Will single.
On Day 5, the Islanders re-coupled for the first time with the girls picking. Shaq and Tanya remained together, whilst Anna-May chose to couple up with Kai, new girl Zara picked Tom, Olivia coupled with Haris, Tanyel and Ron coupled up and Lana went for Will. As David remained single, he was dumped from the island.
Week 2
On Day 10, the Islanders re-coupled. New arrivals Ellie and Spencer were given first choice, picking Ron and Olivia respectively. Shaq and Tanya, and Tom and Zara remained together, whilst Kai went for Tanyel, Will chose Jessie and Aaron was coupled with Lana.
Week 3
On Day 16, the Islanders re-coupled with the boys picking. Aaron and Lana, Jessie and Will, Olivia and Spencer, and Shaq and Tanya all remained together. Meanwhile, Kai coupled up with new girl Samie, Ron picked Tanyel and Tom went with Ellie. As Zara remained single, she was dumped from the island.
Week 4
On Day 21, the Islanders re-coupled with the girls choosing this time. Jessie and Will, Shaq and Tanya, and Tanyel and Ron all remained together, whilst Ellie chose Jordan, Olivia picked Kai, Samie coupled up with Tom and Lana went for Casey.
On Day 24, the Islanders re-coupled again. This time it was boys choice. Ellie and Jordan, Jessie and Will, Kai and Olivia, Samie and Tom, and Shaq and Tanya all remained together, meanwhile Ron coupled up with Lana and Casey went for new girl Claudia. As Tanyel remained single, she was dumped from the island.
Week 5
On Day 32, the original Islanders were told that they would be re-coupling. They were only given the option to remain in their current couple or to choose one of the new Islanders. However, as the boys and the girls were living in separate villas, they were not aware of what the other one chose. If one decided to re-couple and the other did not, then they would be single but still remain on the island. If both re-coupled then they would both remain in the villa with their new partner, and any remaining single new islanders would be dumped. Casey and Claudia, Jessie and Will, Lana and Ron, and Samie and Tom all remained together. Meanwhile, Kai chose Sanam, Olivia coupled up with Maxwell and Tanya picked Martin. As Shaq's original partner failed to recouple with them, he was left single. The new single islanders were then dumped from the island.
Week 6
On Day 40, the Islanders re-coupled. New arrivals Keanan and Rosie were given first choice, picking Claudia and Casey respectively. Jessie and Will, Kai and Sanam, Lana and Ron, Olivia and Maxwell, and Samie and Tom all remained together, whilst Tanya coupled up with Shaq. As Martin remained single, he was dumped from the island.
Week 1
On Day 2, the girls and the boys competed against each other in "Dirty Laundry", in which they took turns sliding into a pool of foam where hidden props gave them clues and a giant pair of pants revealed a secret about one of the Islanders of the opposite sex. To make their guess they had to kiss the islander they believed the secret was about. As the girls guessed the most correctly, they were declared the winners.
Week 2
On Day 9, the girls competed in the "Space Raunch" in which the boys picked which girl was the most "out of this world". The boys chose Zara as the winner.
Week 3
On Day 18, the girls competed in "The Kissing Competition" where the girls took turns kissing each boy. The boys were blindfolded and gave them a score out of ten. As Tanya earned the highest score, she was declared the winner of the challenge.
Week 4
On Day 22, the boys took part in a Gladiator themed game "Ladiators". The girls picked Shaq as the winner of the challenge.
On Day 23, the boys and girls went head-to-head to raise their opposing team's heart rate. At the end of the game they found out who raised their heart rate the most. As the girls raised the heart rates the most, they were the winners of the challenge.
Week 5
On Day 29, the Main Villa and Casa Amor competed in "Raunchy Races" where they had to complete a certain task quicker than the other villa. The game was won by the villa, therefore they won a party for that evening.
Week 6
On Day 37, the Islanders competed in a couple's quiz "Knowing Me, Knowing You", hosted by Shaq, where they had to answer questions about the person they are coupled up with. As Samie and Tom got the most matches, they won the challenge.
On Day 38, the Islanders took part in Movie Night in a Boys vs Girls pub quiz challenge where they had to answer sex related questions. The team who answered correctly were able to select a movie from the list which featured a clip of another Islander.
Week 7
On Day 42, the boys and girls went head-to-head in "Saints vs Sinners" with the girls transforming into angels, and the boys becoming devils.
On Day 43, the Islanders competed in the "Snog, Marry, Pie" challenge where each islander had to snog, marry and pie an Islander of the opposite gender.
On Day 46, the islanders split into two teams and competed against each other in a number of sports day events. The red team were declared the winners.
On Day 47, the islanders were asked to predict where the public ranked them in a series of categories.
Week 8
On Day 50, the islanders took part in a talent contest.
On Day 51, the couples competed in "Cocktail Shake-up" where they had to transfer their cocktails across a slip and slide using an empty tray of glasses strapped to their heads. Kai and Sanam won the challenge.
On Day 52, the couples were challenged with becoming parents and looking after a doll. The challenge was won by Samie and Tom.
Week 1
On Day 3, new Islanders David and Zara each picked one person to take on a date. David chose Tanya, whilst Zara picked Ron.
On Day 6, Haris and Olivia left the villa to go on a date.
Week 2
On Day 8, new islanders Aaron and Jessie each picked two people to take on dates. Aaron chose Lana and Olivia, whilst Jessie picked Tom and Will.
On Day 12, Ellie and Ron, and Olivia and Spencer left the villa to go on dates.
Week 3
On Day 15, Jessie and Will left the villa to go on a date.
On Day 17, new boys Casey and Jordan were asked to choose three islanders each to take on dates. Casey chose Jessie, Lana, and Olivia, whilst Jordan chose Olivia, Samie and Tanyel.
Week 4
On Day 24, new girl Claudia was able to take two boys on dates. She chose Casey and Tom.
Week 6
On Day 36, Kai and Sanam left the villa to go on their first date.
On Day 38, Maxwell and Olivia left the villa to go on their first date.
On Day 39, prior to entering the villa, new Islanders Keanan and Rosie each chose two islanders to take on dates. Keanan chose Jessie and Samie, whilst Rosie picked Casey and Kai.
Week 8
On Day 53, Lana and Ron, Samie and Tom, and Shaq and Tanya went on their final dates.
On Day 54, Jessie and Will, and Kai and Sanam went on their final dates.
Week 1
On Day 5, David was dumped from the island after failing to couple up.
Week 2
On Day 9, it was revealed that the public had been voting for their favourite boy and girl. The bottom three boys were Haris, Kai and Tom and the bottom three girls were Anna-May, Tanya and Tanyel. It was then up to new Islanders Aaron and Jessie to decide who would be dumped from the island. They chose Anna-May and Haris.
Week 3
On Day 16, Zara was dumped from the island after failing to couple up.
On Day 19, after receiving the fewest public votes, Aaron, Kai and Spencer were in danger of being dumped. It was then up to the girls to choose one boy to save. They saved Kai, therefore dumping Aaron and Spencer from the island.
Week 4
On Day 24, Tanyel was dumped from the island after failing to couple up.
On Day 26, it was revealed that the public had been voting for the most compatible couple. The bottom three couples were Ellie and Jordan, Kai and Olivia, and Samie and Tom. As Ellie and Jordan received the fewest votes, they were dumped from the island.
Week 5
On Day 32, new islanders Bayley, Cynthia, Frankie, Kain, Layla, Lydia, Lynda, Ryan and Sammy were dumped from the island after failing to couple up.
Week 6
On Day 40, Martin was dumped from the island after failing to couple up.
Week 7
On Day 45, it was revealed that the public had been voting for the most compatible couple. As Maxwell and Olivia received the fewest votes, they were dumped from the island. However, it was revealed that they would decide which girl and boy out of the other vulnerable couples would be dumped out of Casey and Rosie, Claudia and Keanan, and Shaq and Tanya. They chose Claudia and Keanan.
Week 8
On Day 51, Casey and Rosie were dumped from the island after receiving the fewest public votes.
On Day 56, Jessie and Will were dumped from the island after being voted the least compatible by the public.

On June 23, 2022, it was revealed that Winter Love Island would be returning in 2023 for the first time since 2020.[1]
On August 22, 2022, Laura Whitmore announced that she would not be returning as the presenter for Season 9 due to scheduling conflicts.[2] On September 30, 2022, it was announced that TV and radio presenter Maya Jama would be replacing Whitmore as host.[3]
The original line-up of islanders was released on January 9, 2023.[4] It was also revealed that Ron would be the first partially sighted contestant to appear in the series.[5]
On January 12, 2023, it was revealed that in a new twist, the public would decide who the first bombshell to enter the villa would be out of Ellie and Tom.[6]
