Love Island Finland (or Love Island Suomi) is a Finnish dating reality show based on the British series Love Island. The first season premiered on September 25, 2018 on Sub and aired its third season in 2021.
History[]
On June 8, 2018, it was announced that MTV3 had commissioned a Finnish adaption of the British reality series.[1][2] It was also announced that Finnish model and TV presenter Shirly Karvinen would be hosting the series, with stand-up comedian Riku Sottinen narrating.
Following the second season, the series took a 2-year hiatus before returning in 2021. Karvinen was replaced by TV and radio presenter Veronica Verho as host.
